CSU’s Lloyd leads MWC heptathlon
Colorado State sophomore Katie Lloyd was in second place in the heptathlon Wednesday after the first day of the Mountain West Conference track and field championships at CSU’s Jack Christian- sen Track.
She had 3,055 points, and junior Cristina Gourdin was third with 2,993 points.
American men’s team set for Bolder Boulder
Chris Graff, Pete Julian, and Jason Hubbard will make up the American men’s team for the eighth International Team Challenge at the 27th Bolder Boulder on May 30.
Julian, 34, from Boulder, served as assistant coach for the Regis University cross country team this past fall. Hubbard, 30, lives in Alamosa, and was a 10-time All-American at Adams State.
The International Team Challenge, started in 1998, is the largest international road racing team competition held annually in the United States.
Montana State signs top Chaparral golfer
Shannon Donegan, an all-state golfer from Chaparral High School in Parker, has signed a letter of intent to play for Montana State.
Donegan won the Class 5A Colorado Springs regional championship Monday, and was named the Continental League’s most valuable golfer.
