No one knows how long Mike Clough has been a fly-fisherman. Suffice to say he has been a casting instructor for more than 30 years, which is the experience he will bring to a free casting clinic Saturday at Blue Quill Angler in Evergreen.
Clough, the western regional representative for Orvis, will hold forth from 10 a.m. to noon at the 1532 Bergen Parkway shop, followed by free hot dogs and soft drinks.
The three top performers in a 1-3 p.m. accuracy casting competition will receive an Orvis rod, reel and line. For information, call 303-674-4700.
