Snow will complicate early weekend travel in the high country, and could slow the afternoon drive, although accumulations in town could be as low as an inch.

Heavier accumulations are forecast for the foothills, including Evergreen, Bailey, Conifer and Nederland, which could get three to five inches.

On the plains, the unstable weather pattern could mean isolated thunderstorms, and scattered snow showers.

The central mountains, including Georgetown and Silverthorne, could get six inches.

Southwestern Colorado mountains could see between 10 and 20 inches of snow today.

Today’s high should be around 40. Saturday will be warmer, with a high of 46, before snow returns Sunday and Monday.
