Why are you running? I will be the voice for working families, small businesses and seniors struggling to make ends meet with rising energy and health care costs.
What are the top three challenges facing Colorado or the institution you seek to represent?
1. Accessible and affordable health care should be available to children, families, veterans and senior citizens.
2. Smart economic development should support families with a livable wage, health care benefits and retirement opportunities.
3. Growth impacts many issues such as water, transportation, environment and education.
What is your top priority in the next session if you should win?
Advancing economic opportunities through renewable energy, promoting quality early childhood education, and bringing affordable health care to working families and seniors.
What proposal in the last session did you oppose the most? SB 114 which dealt with Commercial Swine Operators and their obligations to control odor by covering the waste lagoons. SB 114 reversed a previous vote of the people.
What proposal in the last session did you agree with the most? The Long Bill, addressing the state budget, restored funding to crucial programs; Senior Homestead Tax Exemption, Colorado Preschool Program, Special Education, Community Health Clinics
