Why are you running? To use my leadership and community service experience to ensure our public policies promote the best quality of life and economic stability for present and future generations.

What are the top three challenges facing Colorado? 1) Doing everything we can as a state to mitigate the negative consequences of illegal immigration. 2) Providing a quality education for all students to prepare them for future success. 3) Protecting our quality of life through sound fiscal policies, resource management and an economic development plan that provides a vibrant economy.

What is your top priority in the next session if you should win? Sound fiscal management through ensuring TABOR (Ref C) funds are used for education, health care and transportation and creating alternative funding for transportation needs.

What proposal in the last session did you oppose the most? SB 06-143 – Concerning the Statute of Limitations for Civil Actions Alleging Unlawful Sexual Conduct. Later versions made some improvement over the original bill.

What proposal in the last session did you agree with the most? Those dealing with child exploitation and identity theft. HB 06-1011 – Concerning Child Exploitation Offenses. HB 06-1326 – Concerning Identity Theft. HB 06-1347 – Concerning creation of the “Identity Theft and Financial Fraud Deterrence Act.”
