The father of a toddler whose mother is missing Air Force nurse Nonnie Dotson refused to be interviewed by authorities when contacted in San Antonio on Wednesday, police said.
Edward A. Vehle, who is the biological father of 16-month-old Savannah Dotson, told authorities that upon the advice of his attorney he would not talk to them about Nonnie Dotson, said Jefferson County sheriff’s spokeswoman Jacki Kelley.
“We have serious concerns about his lack of cooperation,” Kelley said.
Dotson disappeared in Jefferson County 11 days ago, and her stepfather said Wednesday that the family is emotionally drained.
“We keep hoping that something is going to break to lead people down one track, but nothing has come up,” Kevin Doyle said.
Dotson, who is based out of Lackland Air Force in San Antonio, was visiting her brother on West Unser Street when she disappeared.
On the morning she left, she told her brother she was going to walk to a nearby store near C-470. Dotson left her 16-month-old daughter, Savannah, in her brother’s care.
