Los Angeles – Snoop Dogg posted bond Wednesday morning on felony drug and weapons charges after the rapper-actor was arrested leaving a performance of “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.” The artist, whose name is Calvin Broadus, and two members of his entourage were arrested Tuesday evening after a search of his home and car, Burbank police Sgt. Kevin Grandalski said Wednesday morning.

All were released after posting bonds. Broadus was briefly held in lieu of $60,000 bail.

A handgun and some illegal drugs including cocaine were seized during the Tuesday searches, Grandalski said.

Broadus, a felon, was under investigation for possessing a weapon and illegal drugs, transporting marijuana and having a false compartment in his vehicle, Grandalski said.

The investigation is connected to an Oct. 26 arrest of Broadus at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank after authorities said they found a gun and marijuana in his car.

Broadus was to be arraigned on the latest charges Jan. 11.

Grandalski said Broadus, 35, is believed to be connected to the Rolling 20s Crips gang, which Broadus’ lawyer denied.
