Enjoy it while it lasts
I sincerely hope everyone in Colorado will savor this. It will never happen again in our lifetime.
Like the first time our Broncos went to the Super Bowl and Terry Bradshaw said enjoy because it will never be the same, this cannot be replicated. There truly have been “Angels in the Outfield,” and the infield, too.
The best team in America today is the Rockies. They soon will become world champions.

Holding fans hostage
I am appalled at the actions of ticket agents such as StubHub for buying up World Series tickets and then putting them up for sale for a premium price.
It’s a shame the blue-collar fans who were paying $7 to $10 to sit in the outfield sections and those in the Rockpile now are expected to cough up hundreds, even thousands, of dollars for a couple of seats. It’s deplorable.
How many fans have that much disposable income? I could understand paying three to four times the regular-season ticket price, given that this is the World Series. But it’s not right when these people buy up all the seats and then hold the fans hostage.

Rockpile too expensive
Forget the Rockies ticket scalper. Is anyone else outraged by the $65 price for one World Series seat in the Rockpile? Just like every other major sports ticket in town, the little guy is being priced right out of the ballpark.
Coors Field has been one of the few major sports venues available to all fans. Now that the Rockies are winning and in the World Series, the fair-weather fans and the greedy pro sports owners I’ve come to loathe in this town will price out the little guy once again.
