One person was killed and another injured in a traffic accident Saturday night, the Colorado State Patrol said today.
Jon Waldrop, 50, of Denver was driving a 1980 Toyota Celica on Larimer County Road 74E near Red Feather Lakes about 7:30 p.m. Saturday when he lost control on a curve, the state patrol said.
The car went down an embankment and rolled once.
Waldrop was taken to Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins with moderate injuries.
His female passenger was also taken to the hospital but died. Her name has not been released.
Both were wearing seat belts.
The state patrol said it does not appear alcohol, drugs or weather played a role in the accident.
Waldrop was charged with “careless driving causing death.”
