Put on your tweed jacket and make a deal.
As the fantasy playoffs inch closer and separation becomes clearer, the next few weeks could be time to swing a crucial trade.
First, find the desperate folks in your league and swoop. If you’re despondent, take stock of your surplus, don’t get greedy – and go big.
Managers with players such as Steven Jackson (Rams), Rudi Johnson (Bengals), Marvin Harrison (Colts), Laurence Maroney (Patriots), Javon Walker (Broncos), Drew Brees (Saints), Andre Johnson (Texans) and Santana Moss (Redskins) might be getting antsy, and these guys could be big help.
Stashing a solid backup on your roster is always smart. Michael Turner (Chargers) is a no-brainer, but consider Kenton Keith (Colts), Maurice Morris (Seahawks) or Correll Buckhalter (Eagles). Also, you might take a look at Patriots backup quarterback Matt Cassel, because if Tom Brady keeps rolling, someone from the 1972 Dolphins is sure to put a hit out on him.
