The Pikes Peak Ranger District has added nearly 1,500 acres to the Christmas tree-cutting area of Pike National Forest this season. Permits go on sale Monday through Dec. 16.
Trees cost $10 each, and no credit cards are accepted. Permits can be purchased at the District office at 601 S. Weber St. in Colorado Springs.
