Residences for homeless on tap. Construction of the St. Francis Cornerstone Residences is set to start in January.
The project, at Park Avenue West and Curtis Street, is being developed to help homeless families.
Designed by VTBS Architects, the project will be a five-story building that has 50 one-bedroom and studio units for the homeless.
The project also features television and fitness rooms, a computer learning lab, an employment center, a clinic, and a case manager’s office.
Buyers’ guide for homes near DIA. The DIA Partnership has created a northeast region homebuyers guide to provide information on expected airport development.
“Living Near Denver International Airport” was created by a coalition of real estate developers, business leaders and airport officials to provide information about the impact of aircraft operations and planned development on homes that may be close to DIA.

100 homes to be auctioned. About 100 homes across the state will be auctioned at 11 a.m. Dec. 16 at the Colorado Convention Center’s Korbel Ballroom.
Starting bids range from $5,500 to $375,000 on homes previously priced up to $883,900. Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Kennedy Wilson will conduct the auction.
All properties will be open for inspection 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Dec. 8, 9 and 15. There will be a “How to Buy” seminar Dec. 12 at the convention center at 4 p.m. for brokers and 6 p.m. for homebuyers.

Tree lighting, gift donation. Mountain View Homes is hosting a tree lighting and gift donation for the Arapahoe Santa Claus Shop, a nonprofit organization that helps needy families.
The tree lighting starts at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Dry Creek Crossing community at East Dry Creek Road and South Yosemite Street.
