Anglers have been cautioned against fish consumption in several popular Wyoming reservoirs after the discovery of accelerated mercury levels.
Fresh-water fish high in mercury include walleye, channel catfish and sauger from Big Horn, Seminoe and Pathfinder reservoirs.
Samson assessment.
Jacob Haas of Elizabeth has been assessed the $10,000 “Samson” surcharge after pleading guilty to the 2004 killing of a quality bull elk. The 22-year-old shot the animal on private property south of Franktown. Colorado law calls for the surcharge in cases involving various species of big game animals that qualify as trophy animals.
