Jon Major, a linebacker at Ponderosa in Parker, has been chosen a Parade All-American.

In its 45th year, the magazine’s team will be released Sunday. Major is one of 58 high school players from 24 states to make the team.

Major, 6-feet-3 and 230 pounds, has committed to play for the University of Colorado. He was an All-Colorado selection by The Denver Post. The magazine’s team has chosen 40 Coloradans, including two twice.
