Denver has a 30 percent chance for snow showers today, mainly after 8 a.m., but accumulations should be on the light side.

Denver’s high temperature today should be about 44 degrees and the possible snow total should be less than half of an inch, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight Denver’s low temperature will be about 24 degrees and there is a 20 percent chance for snow showers.

In the mountains, the chance of snow today is more likely and the Durango area, in southwestern Colorado, has already received up to 2 inches of snow this morning.

Snow in the southwest is expected to move north and east and the central mountains should get some fresh powder through tonight.

Vail has a 60 percent chance for snow today, according to the weather service, with daytime accumulations of up to 2 inches possible.

On Friday Denver skies should be mostly cloudy and the high temperature should climb to about 51 degrees, the weather service reports.

A slight chance – 20 percent – of snow in Denver creeps back into the forecast on Saturday and the high temperature should be about 47 degrees.
