GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. — Grand Junction police are searching for three suspects following the late night robbery of a security guard outside a bank.
Police Sergeant Lonnie Chavez says the guard called police at about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday to report he’d been robbed at a Wells Fargo. The guard was trying to make a late-night deposit for a Grand Junction business when he says three men wearing red bandanas attacked him.
The guard says one of the suspects hit him in the head and threatened him.
The three men got away with an undisclosed amount of money in the bank deposit bag.
The guard suffered minor injuries.
Police plan to review surveillance video soon.
