The Washington Bayhawks rallied Saturday night with five goals in the fourth quarter and defeated the Denver Outlaws 17-16 in Fairfax, Va.

Washington jumped out to an 8-1 lead in the first half of the Major League Lacrosse game, but Denver came back with five goals from five players, including a two-pointer from Kyle Dixon, to cut the Bayhawks’ lead to 8-7. Matt Brown scored two goals in a 3-0 Outlaws run in the third quarter that put Denver up 13-12. The Bayhawks then scored five straight for a 17-13 advantage. Brown led the Outlaws with five goals.

Crush falls on AFL road.

San Jose outscored the visiting Colorado Crush 17-7 in the fourth quarter and won 59-42, clinching another Arena Football League playoff berth for the SaberCats (8-5).

San Jose’s Mark Grieb threw for eight touchdowns.

John Dutton completed 30-of-51 passes for 308 yards and six touchdowns for Colorado (4-8).
