1908: Denver’s 25th Street was opened northward from Curtis Street as a number of residences were being torn down. The thoroughfare was to be extended to a point between Arapahoe and Lawrence streets.
1958: The Galloping Gooose, a narrow-gauge jitney from Colorado’s past, lumbered into Golden aboard a truck as plans continued for a motel and museum at the West 44th Avenue location. It is now housed at the Colorado Railroad Museum.
