Getting your player ready...

Plenty of music fans will be heading out to see “Mamma Mia!” at movie theaters this weekend. The film’s backdrop of Skopelos and Skiathos islands is bound to put people in the mood for Greek food.

Here are a two surefire ways from our dining files to get your fix:

Yanni’s Greek Taverna 2223 S. Monaco Parkway, 303-692-0404 Yanni’s may be Denver’s best Greek hangout. The place is known for solid food, plus the shot of ouzo, often poured by the proprietor himself, that’s offered at the start of every supper. There’s much to like, beyond the excellent lamb, including the tzatziki, saganaki and taramasalata.

Also, the mazedes — small plates, Greek-style — shine at Yanni’s. Among the best: the tarama, a fish roe, and lemon and artichoke dip.

Lenah’s Deli and More 1035 Lincoln St., 303-629-1624

Lenah’s can be counted on for good food morning, noon and night. This casual spot, where you order at the counter then take a seat, serves up some of the best gyros this side of the Mediterranean. Breakfast is good, too. So are the burgers.

This place has an amazing selection of feta. Order some cheese and olives to go from the counter while you are waiting for your meal.

Marczyk wine tasting

Every third Saturday (including tomorrow) the folks with the keys to the wine cellar at Marczyk Fine Wines pop a few bottles for the rest of us to taste and consider for purchase. (Or just taste.) Get your grape juice tomorrow, noon to 2 p.m. 770 E. 17th Ave., 303-894-9499. Tucker Shaw
