DENVER—Groups hoping to camp at City Park during the Democratic National Convention say they have packed their plans and will be holding their events at another park.

Tent State University organizer Jojo Pease says the group made their decision after meeting with neighborhood groups near the 314-acre City Park. The groups instead will go to Cuernavaca Park, which is smaller but closer to the Pepsi Center.

The groups’ decision comes on the day they were expected to tell the city how they planned to handle trash removal, security, parking, and other things at City Park.

The groups were granted a four-day permit the week of the convention if they met those conditions, but officials told them they were forbidden from spending the night at the park.
