Colorado Democrats will share the spotlight Thursday night at Barack Obama’s acceptance speech at Invesco Field at Mile High.
The list of speakers released today by Democratic National Convention organizers includes Gov. Bill Ritter, as previously reported, and adds Reps. Ed Perlmutter, of Golden, John Salazar, of Manassa, Mark Udall of Eldorado Springs, and Diana DeGette of Denver.
Others speaking prior to Obama are DNC Chairman Howard Dean, Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, former Vice President Al Gore and Sen. Richard Durbin of Illinois.
Durbin will speak in prime time to introduce a special biographical video about Obama by David Guggenheim, according to a release.
When Obama takes the stage, officials said, he will communicate the urgency of the moment, highlight the struggles Americans are facing and call on Americans to come together to change the course of our nation.
