A Fort Collins family lost their house to a fire that started in their garage.
Some family members fought the fire with a garden hose before firefighters arrived at the home, according to a news release from the Poudre Fire Authority.
The fire broke out around 3:45 p.m. Saturday at 1409 Hillcrest Drive in west Fort Collins, and the first firefighters to arrive found flames bursting out of the garage and an attic area.
Twenty-seven firefighters battled the two-alarm blaze, and no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. A dollar estimate of the damage was not released.
