NEW DELHI, India — The Dalai Lama was recovering Monday from surgery to remove gallstones and was likely to leave a New Delhi hospital early this week, a senior aide said.
The Tibetan spiritual leader underwent surgery Friday. “He walked around in the hospital and didn’t feel any pain,” said spokesman Tenzin Takhla.
