ARAPAHOE COUNTY — A 71-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car while crossing East Florida Avenue in Arapahoe County on Friday night, authorities say.
Fatima Elaourabu of Denver was pronounced dead at the scene near the intersection of East Florida and Willow Street following the 7:35 p.m. accident, said Trooper Gilbert Mares, spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol.
Robert A. Roth, 44, left his green 1995 Honda Accord and walked to a nearby apartment complex before he returned to the scene of the accident on his own, Mares said.
No charges have been filed, Mares said.
