South Korea said it has no information on reports that North Korea told diplomats to be ready for an “important announcement” that might concern the health of leader Kim Jong Il.
The North Korean government ordered its diplomats overseas to stay where they are for an “important announcement,” Japan’s Yomiuri newspaper reported Saturday, citing people it didn’t identify.
The announcement could be related to either diplomatic relations with South Korea or the health of the North Korean leader, Yomiuri said.
