DENVER—The Colorado Avalanche have recalled defenseman Kyle Cumiskey from Lake Erie of the American Hockey League.

Cumiskey leads all Monster defensemen in scoring with eight points—one goal and seven assists—in 16 games.

He was recalled by the Avalanche Nov. 6 and appeared in one game before being reassigned.

During the 2007-08 season, Cumiskey appeared in 38 games with the Avalanche, recording five assists.

Also Tuesday, the Avalanche placed forward Darcy Tucker on injured reserve with a knee injury suffered in Monday night’s game in Anaheim, Calif. He’s expected to be sidelined for about four weeks.
