COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs police are searching for two suspects in a triple shooting at an apartment that sent three men to a hospital.

Police spokesman Lt. David Whitlock says two of the victims were shot in the torso and are in critical condition. The third was shot in the thigh and was expected to be released from the hospital Tuesday.

The shooting occurred shortly before 8 p.m. Monday at an apartment complex on Gahart Drive.

Police say two men in their 20s, at least one of whom had a gun, entered an apartment, confronted the first two victims and fired several shots. The third man was shot outside the apartment while the suspects were fleeing the building.

Whitlock says the relationship between the victims and suspects is still under investigation, but the shooting doesn’t appear to be random.

No names have been released.
