Rocky Mountain News staffers are organizing a candlelight march Jan. 29 to show support for the newspaper. Organizers hope to have 150 marchers, each holding “a candle and placard representing one year of the newspaper’s 150-year history.”

They will march from the Denver Press Club and assemble outside the Denver Newspaper Agency building at 101 W. Colfax Ave. Cincinnati- based E.W. Scripps Co., which owns the News, said last month it would try to sell the paper or possibly close it if a sale doesn’t occur.
