AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.—Derrick Burnett scored two goals to help lead No. 20 Air Force to a 3-2 victory over Army on Saturday.
The Falcons swept the two-game series against the Black Knights and are now tied with RIT for first place in the Atlantic Hockey Association.
Army was the first to score in the first period on a power play goal. But Air Force (17-6-1, 14-3-1) led 3-1 early in the second period after a goal by Blake Page.
With 43 seconds left in the third period, Scott Warner scored a power play goal for Army (7-14-3, 6-9-3) to make it 3-2. Army had a two-man advantage after pulling its goalie from the net but wasn’t able to score again.
Air Force beat Army 5-1 in Friday night’s game.
