A school-bus driver transporting 16 children discovered a body Monday morning after pulling over to inspect an oddly shaped clump in a ditch off a dirt road in rural El Paso County.
The body was that of a woman, believed to be in her thirties, who had been shot to death, investigators said.
The students on board — attending elementary, middle and high school in the Ellicott School District — got varying looks at the corpse, said Superintendent Terry Ebert.
