ORLANDO, Fla.—The Powerball jackpot was expected to grow to an estimated $125 million for Saturday after no one matched all six numbers in the midweek drawing, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.
The winning numbers Wednesday were 2, 15, 39, 44 and 56. The Powerball was 15 and the Power Play number was 3.
Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $108.3 million jackpot.
A Power Play ticket sold in Arizona matched the first five numbers only to win $1 million. The top prize in Colorado was $30,000 for two Power Play tickets that matched the Powerball plus four of the other numbers, the Colorado Lottery said.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is now played in 30 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
