An 18-year-old woman turned into the path of a semi-truck this morning in Weld County and died from her injuries, while her sister was seriously injured, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Faith Kadlub of Roggen and her 20-year-old sister, Caitlin Kadlub, were airlifted to North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
Faith, the driver, died a short time later. Her sister remains in serious condition, according to troopers.
The crash happened at about 11:35 a.m. at U.S. 34 and Weld County Road 49 near Kersey.
Faith Kadlub’s Hyundai Elantra was going north on Weld County Road 49, when she turned into the path of the Peterbilt semi.
The truck driver, Rodney Jacobitz, 46, of Minden, Neb., was not injured, troopers said.
