BOULDER — A father and son found a body floating in Boulder Creek on Friday, and authorities were trying to determine how the victim died.
The two were walking on the Boulder Creek bike path shortly after 5 p.m. when they saw the body floating in the creek near Folsom Street.
Boulder police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley said police have preliminarily identified the victim, a man in his 50s. He was wearing sneakers, blue jeans and a shirt.
“So it doesn’t look like he’s dressed for any recreational activity in the water,” she said.
Last week, Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle warned residents to use caution around the creek, saying the creek’s current streamflows make swimming or wading dangerous.
