MONTROSE, Colo.—A weekend fire has destroyed a downtown Montrose building that housed three businesses.
The fire was reported at about 11 p.m. Saturday. No one was inside the building and no injuries were reported.
The building housed The Boy’s Bakery, Papa Murphy’s Pizza and Developer Resource, a housing developer. Another office was vacant.
Fire Chief Bob Pistor says the fire appears to be accidental. Building owner Steve Hill says investigators told him the fire started in or around a stove in the bakery.
Pistor put the value of the building and its contents at $4 million.
