Getting your player ready...

We can assume Broncos safety Brian Dawkins is far more eloquent on Wednesday than he is on Sunday.

But whether through his play or his weekly press conference, his incredible passion is evident.

Dawkins was asked about what people outside Denver think about the Broncos and their 3-0 start.

“I played on teams in Philadelphia where, are these teams for real?” he said. “The only thing that matters is what’s coming out of that locker room. I know you guys get tired of me saying that, but that’s real. It matters not what an expert says, any panel says, any report, it matters not. As long as we believe in one another and we believe in the scheme that we’re playing and we’re disciplined and accountable to one another, it matters not what’s outside of this locker room.”

Dawkins is less than two weeks from his 36th birthday. It matters not. The energy he brings to the field and locker room is infectious.

With 20 tackles and two fumble recoveries in three games, he’s playing as if he’s ready to add a couple more Pro Bowl appearances to his final career bio.
