Former Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe said this time he won’t skydive onto the field to receive his latest football honor. Sharpe, a seven-time Pro Bowler and current NFL analyst, will return to his alma mater at Savannah State to have his No. 2 jersey retired today before the Tigers’ game against Bethune-Cookman. Sharpe parachuted onto Invesco Field at Mile High on Sept. 20 before he was inducted into the Broncos’ Ring of Fame. “I crossed that off my bucket list,” he said with a chuckle Friday. “I won’t be making a dive like that this time around.” The Associated Press; Denver Post file photo
