WASHINGTON — Buzz has it that one of the Republican picks for a spot on the Broadcasting Board of Governors is former White House press secretary Dana Perino.

Perino, now “chief issues counselor” for public-relations giant Burson-Marsteller, earlier had been communications director for the White House Council on Environmental Quality and a press secretary on the House side.

Perino, a native of Parker, graduated from the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo.
