The Metro State baseball team scored the most runs in school history by beating Colorado Christian 34-12, five days after giving up a record 33 runs to Mesa State. The Roadrunners also set school records for hits (32), runs batted in (32), total bases (56) and doubles (12). The two teams combined for an NCAA Division II record of 18 doubles.
The Roadrunners improved to 6-5 overall, 3-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

The home opener for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox is set for Friday, April 16, against the Toronto Blue Jays’ Triple-A affiliate, the Las Vegas 51s. Individual game tickets for the 72-game home schedule will go on sale Monday.
