DENVER—A judge has denied a request for a temporary restraining order to block FasTracks transit construction at Union Station in Denver while a lawsuit continues.
U.S. District Judge John Kane’s decision Thursday came in a lawsuit filed by the Colorado Rail Passenger Association.
ColoRail’s suit complains that the Federal Transit Administration’s approval of an environmental impact statement for the project was tainted by a conflict of interest. The group is seeking a new study on environmental impacts.
ColoRail says it thinks the plan to redevelop Union Station focuses too much on real estate development and not enough on transportation.
