NEWARK, Del. — State Attorney General Beau Biden had a mild stroke Tuesday but is expected to recover. Biden, 41, the older of Vice President Joe Biden’s two sons, was admitted Tuesday to Christiana Hospital and transferred to a Philadelphia hospital for further tests.
“He is in good spirits and talking with his family at the hospital,” said Dr. Timothy Gardner of Christiana Hospital. “He is fully alert, in stable condition and has full motor and speech skills.”
Biden returned last year from a year-long deployment to Iraq with his National Guard unit. He had considered running this year for the U.S. Senate but decided instead to run for re-election as attorney general. The Associated Press
