GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Bond for a Fruita man arrested after the shooting death of his roommate has been set at $500,000.
Thirty-seven-year-old Wayne Fredrick Gert was arrested Friday after the death of 37-year-old Henry John Trisler Jr. A Mesa County Coroner’s Office report says Trisler died of a gunshot wound to the head.
An arrest affidavit says Gert allegedly told a police officer that he shot Trisler in self-defense in their home.
Gert was being held on suspicion of second-degree murder.
