A 30-year-old Carbondale man has been arrested and is being held for investigation of distribution and possession of cocaine, according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was identified as Cesar Manuel Ramirez Pinela, who is a Mexican citizen illegally in the United States, according to the sheriff’s office.

According to investigators, Pinela allegedly sold $400 worth of cocaine to an undercover agent of the Eagle County Sheriff’s Drug Task Force and was arrested July 6.

Pinela is being held in the Eagle County Detention Facility on a $50,000 bond.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold has been placed on Pinela.
