DENVER—Real estate investor Walker Stapleton eked out a narrow victory to win the GOP nomination for the Colorado treasurer’s office, beating financial adviser J.J. Ament.
Stapleton touted his business experience in the private sector, while Ament cited his work as a financial adviser to state and local government agencies.
Stapleton now faces Democrat Cary Kennedy, who was unopposed in her party primary Tuesday.
