BOULDER — While some city of Boulder departments face cuts to programs and staff to help balance next year’s budget, the City Council is slated to receive 27 percent more than it did this year.
The draft budget calls for a $62,500 increase in the nine-person council’s personnel and operating funds.
Sarah Huntley, a city spokeswoman, said the extra money is a reflection of the council’s tendency to spend more than it is allocated in a given year.
