Authorities are searching for three bank robbers, two of whom struck Monday.
A white man in his 40s, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and about 170 pounds with reddish hair, robbed a Bank of the West in Denver just after noon Monday, the FBI said.
About two hours later, the Wells Fargo bank at Applewood Village in Wheat Ridge was robbed.
That robber was described as Latino, in his 40s, about 5-foot-7 and weighing about 230 pounds.
The so-called “JV Bandit” is suspected of robbing a Chase Bank in Wheat Ridge on Saturday. The JV Bandit, dubbed that because he often wears sportswear, is suspected in four other area bank robberies. He is white, 28 to 35 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10 and 135 to 155 pounds, the FBI said.
