FRISCO, Colo.—Members of a Chinese rescue team that helped recover the bodies of three American climbers last year trained with their counterparts in Colorado this week.

The Sichuan (Sit-yoo-WAHN’) Mountaineering Association helped recover the bodies of Micah Dash and Jonny Copp of Boulder and Wade Johnson of Minnesota. Eight members of the team visited Summit County with money left over donations from the recovery mission at the request of Johnson’s family.

The Summit Daily News reports that rescuers met with members of the Summit County Rescue Group members Tuesday and Wednesday, training on Mount Quandary and climbing Lenawee Mountain.

Some of the team members helped recover the hikers’ bodies and met with their families in Boulder this week.
