GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.—An arraignment has been postponed for an inmate who escaped from an Arizona prison.
Thirty-six-year-old Daniel Renwick is facing charges stemming from a shootout during his capture in western Colorado. He was set to be arraigned in court in Glenwood Springs on Tuesday but the hearing has been postponed until Nov. 23.
Renwick is one of three convicts who escaped on July 30 from a privately run prison in Kingman, Ariz. He was serving a sentence for a second-degree murder conviction.
Police said Renwick fired shots at them during a three-mile chase Aug. 1 in and near the town of Rifle, about 180 miles west of Denver. Officers said they rammed his SUV with a patrol car.
Renwick also faces a charge of being a fugitive.
