Weld County sheriff’s deputies were investigating a body that was found under a bridge near Lochbuie on Friday.
Margie Martinez, spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office, said a county employee was inspecting the bridge near County Roads 4 and 53 when he found what appeared to be a body and called authorities.
The body, found under the bridge, was frozen and wrapped in a blanket.
Investigators think it was the body of an adult, but its gender had not been determined. Because the body was frozen, an autopsy had not been scheduled.
