The former bookkeeper for a northwest metro youth wrestling league is accused of stealing $16,000 and using the money for shopping and dining out, 9News reported today.
Angie Padia, 35, is accused of stealing from the nonprofit Pomona Youth Wrestling organization. She turned herself in Arvada police Tuesday.
Police think she spent the money on herself instead of paying the wrestling league’s bills. Court records indicate that she allegedly confessed to other league officials last year but has refused to repay the money.
