An employee of a day-care center in Littleton was arrested Thursday on suspicion of sexual assault on a child.
Paul James Kerr, 32, was a lead teacher at KinderCare, 5472 S. Federal Circle in Littleton. Kerr had worked at the day care since July, according to Littleton police.
Police began investigating when a child told a parent, who notified them of an incident that allegedly occurred March 21. Investigators discovered there were several alleged victims.
A spokeswoman for the day care said Kerr was fired last month when the investigation started, and all families were notified.
Before working at KinderCare, Kerr was a substitute teacher in elementary schools in Jefferson County and Denver Public Schools, police said.
He is being held on $50,000 bail.
